Windows Defender, also Security Essentials, now better than half the competition according to independent tests.

Most of us tend to just forget about security on Windows, and just content with Microsoft’s offering. Well, latest results from AV Tests offer a bit of consolation. The security had a score that rated it in the middle of the competition. The results from December 2015 can be viewed on their site here. The competition, totaling at 20, included popular names like AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender, McAfee and Norton. So if you use windows defender, you can sit back and know that you are generally protected in your daily business.

And in mobile, Samsung Galaxy S7 display leaks, more HTC Perfume rumors and LG’s plans for a duo of flagships.

Evan Blass from Ventured has revealed that the HTC Perfume, the next One (M10), has been said to pack a Quad HD AMOLED display.The device is powered by a Snapdragon 820 Soc pared with 4GB of RAM, a  new 12MP UltraPixel camera and sadly, no Boomsound this time around. Fingerprint sensor to be integrated in the home button.

Images of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 have been leaked. The images show the  device that is held in clamps for testing nd the branding is hidden, but the home key’s engraving shouts Samsung. The other image shows the front cameras in a grid. They are comparable to those in the S6, and the board is printed SM-G930F which is known to be the reference for the S7.


And in mobile software. Microsoft Office Insider Android updated, as was Google’s offering. Reddit begins to focus on mobile, Android first.

Reddit has released an Android app as i now begins to focus on Mobile, albeit in a private beta. The iOS version is said to be coming up next, and there’s no word on Windows Mobile yet.

Microsoft Office Insider for Android was bumped up to build 16.0.6528.1008. Office Insiders can download the individual apps from the play store
