BMW has decided to give Benz a rest in one ad of the 330e. Instead, they have gone for Tesla this time around. BMW is notorious for marketing stints, usually in their homeland.
The new ads are part of a campaign called “Waiting”. Without calling out names, they poke people who shell out money for unseen cars. Cars without a guarantee that they will ever see daylight.
Although the ads manage to point out the weakness in Tesla, they do not really do much for BMW. Customers buy a product they want, not just anything. And in any case, the 330e is still a hybrid, not an electric car like the Model 3.
