HTC has announced the latest One in China, the HTC One X9 which follows on the heels of the HTC One A9 released a few months ago. The smartphone lies in the premium mid-range, featuring some high range features which makes it highly competitive. The device is quite similar to the One A9, and comparably more premium in most respects.
The HTC One X9 is powered by an octa-core
MediaTek Helio X10 processor, paired with a generous 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. The display is a 5.5 inch with a 1080p resolution. The cameras are a 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS and 4K recording support, and an UltraPixel front camera for selfies. Also included are HTC’s BoomSound speakers on either side of the display, which were missing on the One A9. The A9’s fingerprint sensor is missing on the One X9, which is odd considering the device seems to be an upgrade over the former.
The has been announced for the Chinese market at a price of 2399 yuan ($370) currently. We are still waiting to know if and when the device will be released to other markets. The device is certainly a welcome addition for anyone who felt the One A9 was shortcoming.
